Formylmorpholine (NFM) is an important organic solvent and fine chemical raw material. It is a white or slightly yellow transparent liquid with a slight ammonia odor, soluble in polar solvents such as water and benzene. When mixed with water in a 1:1 ratio, the solution pH is 8.6 and does not form an azeotrope with C9-C10 hydrocarbons. The appearance is a colorless transparent liquid with no special odor.
